Collect #2, #4, and #5 plastic. Bags, food containers, bread bags, dog food, chicken trays, milk jugs, produce bags, 5gal buckets...
We tend to keep #2 and #4 together and separate #5 to add into extruder. If you have too much #5 in the mix the boards will be wavy.
Grind #2, #4, #5 plastic into small pieces and place in manageable bins.
You can make anything out of plastic if you have a mold for it. We have most dimensional lumber sizes.
Choose the mold and place it at the exit of the extruder. Heat the extruder to 400+ degrees to melt but not burn the plastic. The mold will slowly fill.
Place the mold with the melted plastic inside into a water bath to cool. The size of board will determine the amount of cooling time needed.
